Open to all individuals 18 to 30 years of age, located within NSW, VIC, QLD or WA, who are currently enrolled as a student at university. Only 1 entry per person permitted. Competition opens 22/02/21 at 12:00 AM & closes 5/04/21 at 12:00 AM. Winner drawn 09/04/21 at 11:00 AM at Qatar Airways of Level 19, 303 Collins Street, Melbourne 3000. Total prize pool valued at AUD $10,000 (incl. GST). Winner notified by phone, email & published online at http://www.campus-group.com/qatarairways from 12/04/21 for 28 days. Promoter is Qatar Airways Group (ABN 18 105 742 916). 

 

Full Terms and Conditions: 

  1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The promoter is Qatar Airways Group (Q.C.S.C.) (ABN 18 105 742 916) of Level 19, 303 Collins Street, Melbourne 3000 (“Promoter”).
  3. Entry is only open to individuals located within NSW, VIC, QLD or WA, who are 18 to 30 years of age and who are currently enrolled as a student at university. 
  4. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin. 
  5. Promotion commences at 12AM AEDST on 22/02/21 and ends at 12AM AEDST on 05/04/21 at 12AM AEDT (“Promotional Period”). 
  6. Entrants must sign up to the Qatar Airways Student Club programme (“Student Club”), which is powered by the Qatar Airways frequent flyer programme Privilege Club (“Privilege Club”). 
  7. To enter, individuals must fill in their name and email address on the e-form here http://campus-group.com/qatarairways, as well as complete and submit, in full, the entry fields displayed on the e-registration form here https://www.qatarairways.com/en/Privilege-Club/student-club-join-now.html?promocode=UNIAU&cid=RDAU75540 and verify their new account via the verification email. Entrants will receive one (1) entry into the prize draw for completing the steps outlined in this clause (“Entry”). This Entry will enrol them into Student Club.
  8. Entrants agree that by submitting an Entry in accordance with the above, that they agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Privilege Club and Student Club programmes. In addition, entrants will have the option to receive communications from Qatar Airways by selecting the optional “opt in” check box. Entrants that opt in to Qatar Aiwars agree that their details will be used in accordance with Qatar Airways’ privacy policy which is available at https://www.qatarairways.com/en-au/legal/privacy-policy.html.
  9. Entrants agree that by submitting an Entry in accordance with the above, that they agree to receive communications relating to the QATAR AIRWAYS AU University Competition from The Get Real Marketing Co. Ltd. (T/A Campus Group) (ABN 40 624 011 347), a contractor of Qatar Airways. Entrants agree that their details will be used in accordance with the Campus Group privacy policy which is available at http://www.campusgroup.co.uk/privacy-policy/
  10. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period. 
  11. All entries are subject to review by the Promoter for compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Entries must not contain prohibited or inappropriate content. Any entrant that submits such content will not be eligible to win.
  12. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
  13. Only one entry per entrant. 
  14. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. 
  15. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
  16. The winner will be the first valid entry drawn at Level 19, 303 Collins Street, Melbourne 3000 on 09/03/21 at 11am The Promoter will ensure that all entries have an equal chance of winning a prize. 
  17. The winner agrees for their contact name, email and phone number to be shared with The Get Real Marketing Co Ltd (ABN 40 624 011 347) a contractor of Qatar Airways (ABN 18 105 742 916). 
  18. The winner will be notified by email and phone within two business days of the draw by The Get Real Marketing Co Ltd (ABN 40 624 011 347). Their name will also be published on http://www.campus-group.com/qatarairways/ on 12/05/21 for 28 days.
  19. The total prize pool is valued at AUD $10,000 inc. GST. Prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  20. The total number of competition winners in this competition is one (1). The prize on offer is:

      Note: Winner must be between 18 to 30 years of age, located within NSW, VIC, QLD or WA, who is currently enrolled as a student at university. 
    2. Flight tickets are five (5) economy class tickets on Qatar Airways to any destination in Qatar Airways network (from the list provided) valued at up to AUD $10,000 inc. GST depending on travel dates, departure point and destination. The five (5) economy class tickets are all valid to depart from one (1) international airport including Sydney, Melbourne (Tullamarine), Brisbane or Perth International Airports, to any destination that Qatar Airways flies to (see https://www.qatarairways.com/en-au/discover.html for a full list of destinations). The winner must confirm their one (1) chosen destination for all five (5) tickets, from the list provided, and one (1) set of travel dates for all five (5) tickets, to the Promoter in writing by the requested deadline. Prize must be claimed and booked by the winner by 30 June 2021. Claim and book by dates may be extended at Qatar Airways’ discretion, subject to Australian Government travel restrictions.
    3. The flight prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the individual prize and service providers. Travel is only valid before 31 September 2022, subject to any exclusions and/or block out periods (as stated below). Travel dates may be extended at Qatar Airways’ discretion, subject to Australian Government travel restrictions. Spending money, meals, taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes), insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, transfers, items of a personal nature, accommodation and all other ancillary costs are not included.  Prize is subject to booking and flight availability and confirmation may not be immediate. Prize cannot be taken during Australian school holidays, public holidays or other peak periods. Blackout periods apply (June – August 2021, December 2021 – January 2022). Availability may be further limited by travel restrictions and exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to epidemics and pandemics. Winner and companions are advised to check government travel advice before booking and embarking on any travel.
  21. The prize(s) is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. 
  22. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  23. Winners must accept in writing, intent to receive the prize within two (2) business days of the winning notification from the Promoter.
  24. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take / redeem the prize (or part of the prize) at/by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that part of the prize) will be forfeited by the winner with no penalty to the Promoter. 
  25. A second draw for the prize, if unclaimed, will take place on 16/05/2021 (at 11:00 AM at Level 19, 303 Collins Street, Melbourne 3000) same as the original draw in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by this date, subject to State and Territory legislation. Winners of any further draws will be notified by email within two (2) business days of the draw. Their names will also be published on 19/05/2021 http://www.campus-group.com/qatarairways/ for 28 days. 
  26. If a prize, or element of a prize, is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter, in is discretion, reserves the right to substitute another prize of equal and/or specification, or element of it, subject to the approval of any relevant body, where required.
  27. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  28. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
  29. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: 
    1. any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise; 
    2. any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications;
    3. any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition; 
    4. any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this Competition (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise); or 
    5. any delay in delivery (when not directly caused by the Promoter or its supplier), or failure of safe delivery of a prize.
  30. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
  31. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: 
    1. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); 
    2. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; 
    3. any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; 
    4. any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; or
    5. taking and/or use of a prize. 
  32. Without limiting any other terms herein, the entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for any loss or damage or third party claims in relation to breach of these terms.
  33. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form. In the event a winner or a winner’s companion is under the age of 18, a nominated parent/legal guardian of such person will be required to sign the legal documentation required under this clause on their behalf.
  34. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any taxation implications that may arise from winning of a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
  35. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.qatarairways.com/en-au/legal/privacy-policy.html . In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
